1. Acceptance
A commission slot is considered confirmed once the 50% non-refundable deposit has been received. Until then, any quoted timeline or pricing is an estimate and may change.
2. Scope of Work
The scope of each commission — subject, size, medium, number of figures, background complexity, and number of revisions — is agreed upon in writing before work begins. Changes to scope after the sketch phase may incur additional fees.
3. Payment
- Deposit: 50% non-refundable, due on acceptance.
- Balance: due before the final file is delivered or the physical piece is shipped.
- Payment methods: accepted methods are specified in your quote.
- Chargebacks will be contested and may result in being blacklisted from future work.
4. Revisions
One round of revisions is included at the sketch stage. Additional rounds or changes requested after the final stage may incur a fee. Small tweaks (color calibration, minor adjustments) are typically accommodated at my discretion.
5. Turnaround & Delays
Typical turnaround is 3–6 weeks from deposit, depending on scope and queue. I will communicate any delays as early as possible. Rush fees apply for turnarounds under two weeks.
6. Ownership & Usage
- I retain full copyright to all artwork unless explicitly licensed otherwise in writing.
- You receive a personal, non-commercial license: you may print, display, and share the work privately and on personal social media with credit.
- Commercial use (merchandise, NFTs, resale, corporate use, advertising, training AI/ML models) is not permitted without a separate commercial licensing agreement.
- I reserve the right to display finished commissioned work in my portfolio and on social media unless you request confidentiality in advance.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
- If you cancel before the sketch is delivered: the deposit is forfeit.
- If you cancel after the sketch: no refund; you receive the sketch files.
- If I cancel the project for any reason: a prorated refund is issued based on work completed.
8. What I Will & Won't Draw
I am happy to take on a wide range of subjects. I will not accept commissions involving:
- Hate symbols, slurs, or content targeting protected groups
- Sexual content involving minors or non-consenting parties
- Real-person NSFW without explicit written consent from the subject
- Content that infringes on others' intellectual property
I reserve the right to decline any commission for any reason.
9. Communication
Primary communication is by email. Please allow 3–5 business days for replies. If you haven't heard back in that window, a polite follow-up is always welcome — things occasionally slip through.
10. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version in effect for your commission is the one published on the date your deposit is received.
